It is prepared from the fine flour dough, with or without gram flour (Besan) and semolina (Rava/Suji) seasoned with powdered sugar, pure Ghee (clarified butter) or butter (salted or unsalted), a pinch of salt, ground green cardamom, baking soda and garnished with pistachio.
